I want to share with you awesome things about Jesus that I have recently learned. The more I know about Judaism, the more I know about Jesus. My religion is to love God and others as myself. I am not interested in what separates Jews and Christians. I am interested in what unites us.
I grew up Christian, not understanding that Jesus’ religion was Judaism. In 2005, I studied Judaism to convert because I married a Jewish man. It was then that I had the epiphany of Jesus being Jewish. I feel I have discovered a beautiful part of Jesus that I always had in front of me but was never able to see or understand. I have been very surprised to find out how much information I was missing about Jesus' personal and day-to-day life that you will now be able to see in my paintings.
I want to introduce my amazing findings of Jesus‘ Judaism to people in the easiest way possible without them having to invest too much of their time. So, I decided to make paintings that would tell those stories about his Judaism.
Knowing that Pope Francis’ favorite painting is the White Crucifixion by Marc Chagall, in which Chagall stressed the Jewish identity of Jesus, I sent Pope Francis one of my original paintings of Jesus. I was very happy to receive a response thanking me and telling me he blessed me and would pray for me.
This painting project has been in the making for many years and I keep learning more awesome things that inspire me to keep on adding to the Series. I have a playlist of short videos about each painting: click here.
I also have a website where I document my information from the Christian Bible: click here.
Thank you for your interest and I hope you enjoy my work. If you made a purchase, I want to thank you for your support.
