Jesus Explained the Sabbath

I thought that Jesus opposed the Sabbath. I didn’t understand that Jesus was actually explaining about the Sabbath according to Judaism. In Judaism, the most important law overrules a less important law. The law that has to do with saving or maintaining life overrules the law of keeping the Sabbath.
